  • Good food to eat day of match?

    Hello,

    1st match tonight. What is a good food to eat quite a few hours before, for lunch?

    Small steak and fruit? Tuna sandwich?

    Pasta or spaghetti not much meat as it can leave ya bloated just drink loads of water before the fight and dont eat for 3 hours before just drink.

    Good luck. What weight are ya?

          I eat after my weigh in. As a Senior i have 3 or 4 hours before i fight. So last time... i actually had a jam sandwich (jelly to you yankees) a banana or two. a few digestive biscuits and a bottle of water.

          Was very nice and i felt very energised.

            good one dum A**! Dont listen to this idiot^. Before the weigh in eat very light. Yogurt and a salad with no dressing. After the weigh on depending on how much time you have untill the fight, Dont eat anything heavy. Amateur boxing cards are really out of control sometimes when it comes to scheduling. I remember my 2nd fight I was told to show up and then told that I didnt have a fight, fair enough after 10 minutes after I took my stuff off, I hear my coach yelling my name, So i walk over and hes like THEY GOT A FIGHT FOR YOU AND YOUR ON NEXT GET YOUR STUFF ON NOW. I run and throw my stuff on and just as im lacing my shoes up, They call my opponent out. Just an example man. JUST EAT LIGHT AND TAKE IT EASY ON THE LIQUIDS. I say that because if you drink a whole lot, its goona affect your movment in the ring. So basically dont pig out and over drink before any match no matter how long the fight is away.

              I know i've seen a number of kids puke in the ring. Nerves, body shots and a belly full of pasta and glucose drinks do mix very well. haha!

                eat light b4 the weigh in depending on whether you make the weight easy or not, a few ours before the fight have some pasta
