    Boxing is the only sport i've actually liked since I was young, football felt more like a social chore than enjoyment so I stopped. Now I finally decided to man up and start so i've been learning all I need to know, try transfer what I know about fighting to boxing. So i'm spending my holiday to try strengthen up and when I get back to Uni' i've got 2 gyms and 2 places to learn boxing so i'll start then and i'm determind to be good.

    This is just a video of me earlier in my garage. It's pretty crap quality and only short (mobile phone cam) and of course ends (space ran out) conviently with my first and only miss of the exercise...Lovely haha. There is zero space to move, you'll see me move around to the other side, what you don't see is how I whack my leg on the weights bench...That's how little space there is. So be leanient but I don't expect many people to be too nice and unlike the other thread, where I was asking a genuine question which requires genuine answers, I expect to get ripped to shreads here and I don't mind because atleast here i'm doing something.

    P.S, I know i've gotta move around more on my feet and punch through more, the lack of space kind of hindered that.



    Any tips etc would be appreciated as that's what i've put it up for.

    That was a ****in' crazy 'workout' You are just hitting the bag no defence work or anything. Post up a better video so we can see your technique the video is too blurry to notice how much you are extending your arms what ya punching with etc.

    But, them hooks were pretty wack dude your elblow came out above your head and your jabs were scraping down on the bag.

    How long you been boxing for? Or have you been to a gym yet?

      Not boxed, just fought. Nowhere near me at the mo', much much MUCH better when i'm at Uni' because I don't only have a place to learn but I have a choice of 2 places. Cheers for the reply, will look into it what you say.

      Haven't got a better way of getting a better video, will try in the future though. I know some stuff that i'm supposed to do, it's just taking what I know and doing it, which is why it's good to record it and post it up to ask.

      I know what you mean about the defence but the reason I worked it like that was because I need to increase fitness and stamina. Nobody fights by just hitting because the other person is going to hit back and after about 5 mins of that you're gasping. So i've been going at it fast and hard to try and create a false amount of effort in order to make sure that when I do it, it doesn't kill me.

      So I get the keep the elbow down, makes sense. How do I prevent a jab scraping? I'm guessing keep the arm straighter, though not locked, and push through more?

      I'll try clear some space, set the camera at a place further back so you can see more than just an arm haha, i'll work in some defence aswell.
