  • A Stronger Chin?

What methods or drills do boxers have for specifically strengthening their chins? Or is it all about experienced and being used to taking punches?

    Feedback please

I feel that a thick, strong neck is very important in being able to take a punch, but you likely already knew that.

        A strong neck helps.

        In everything.

See my "Life Delivers a Standing Eight" post, above. My chiropractor specifically said that if my neck hadn't been so strong I could've been seriously ****ed up. Thanks to two years of neck bridges and working out with a head harness, what would've given most people lifelong whiplash will probably only give me a week-long headache.

Add in every Cardio related thing you can and give it a hundred percent each time.

Enery plays a big part in knock outs... The energy to take a punch plays a HUGE PARt in staying up.

Now of course their are guys that have that one hit power and land a perfect punch.. But not all Ko's re gonna be like that... Having the energy to withstand the onslought helps a whole lot.

With that said.. you gotta have sumthin to start with.. A Glass chin is just gonna be a Glass chin. No way to fix that. But energy will help you take the punch better.

I'm guessing the stronger your neck the better you will absorb a punch which will in turn cause less brain spin!
