Whats some tips/advice on keep your opponent at distance and what to do when they close the distance and the best combinations to throw when they are coming forward.

you can offcourse catch a opponent coming in with your jab. Or take a short step back and throw a lead right, or lead upper.

Keeping him at a distance is done with the jab, you pressure him with it and keep him at a distance with it, after throwing the jab you set up for a right hook/upper etc combinations.

You can always sneak in a jab somewhere, you have to master it, its your pawn.

Also make sure to use distance against your opponent, try to vary your distance constantly with short steps to keep him off balance.
And strike whenever hes not ready, you gotta use your instinct.

of course the jab as mentioned above, and if you're fighting a swarmer who wants to go low and bury his head in your chest, catch him with the right uppercut left hook combo, if you time it right it can be a devastating punch
