I never spoke with Charlie. I dropped by the Hollywood Boxing Gym and asked if Charlie Zelenoff was around, explained that I was a boxer from Seattle and he'd invited me down to spar sometime and, well, here I was.

IIRC, the girl at the front desk said she wasn't familiar with him, and anyway, she said, they don't allow contact sparring. Just fitness training and padwork. I was so blown away by this last part that I can't remember if she said if she hadn't seen him lately or if she didn't know who I was referring to.
