I always hit hard, i hate going for technique kind of crap. Sorry i tried but i really only can go all out and punch the freak out of the bag. You will never see me on a light bag. its not me, but i have to say that i do get injured on my hands more then usual boxers because of this. I like power!

Proper technique IS hitting hard. You probably think you hit hard, but with what you just said I can tell you more than likely do not.

well i know i hit hard (for my weight) because thats what i have been told by 3 different trainers in three different countries over a period of 20 years so i leave it at that.

don't be fooled with how people look, the biggest or most muscular guys are often not the strongest...

I never said muscular guys = auto hard hitters. But a strong guy who knows how to hit will hit harder than a small guy who knows how to hit. I call B.S. on what you have said as well, but I don't care. If that's true, g**** to you, if not... sad you have to lie on a message board.

i don't join this message board with real photos of me and i have left my real email address and name to several members here. I know there are many people who claim to be something they are not, well i am not one of them.
If you are planning to come to the place i live we can have a beer and i can introduce you to Manny Pacquiao. Then we will see if i lie...
              peace

power overs, plyos blah blah youve heard it before. just strengthen everything because you use everything when your punching. Low reps 1-5 will help with maximal strength but youll have to do plyos (3-8 explosive reps, dont even come close to failure) to use that strength instantaneously. Strengthen every part of you. Alot of punching is in the hips so dumbell and kettlebell swings or snatches help with that. All this is supplemental to your skill work, you could get really strong but still have a (relatively) weak punch if you dont know how to punch so technique is the most effective way to build power.

rosstraining.com is a great site that will help you supplement your skills with proper workouts for boxers.
