Found an awesome deal today while shopping..

recently i've been looking for a heavy bag. and while i was looking through a newspaper at my buddy's house today, his dad suggested that i looked at our local sams club, i checked online and didnt see anything on their site but his mom was getting ready to go do some shopping so me and my friend went to help her carry things and whatnot. so, upon entering the store, we went to the home gym equipment and i stumbled upon a sweet everlast set, check this out.

now, on everlast.com its $399.99, + an additional $65.00 for shipping & handling. i payed a mere $199.99 and an uncomfortable car ride home for that bad boy, now tell me that aint a good deal!

ill tell u this much... the speedbag portion of it you will hate... anyone thats had a lot of experiences with speedbags and there frames, know the sturdier the frame, the better you can hit it... thats why some speedbag frames are over $1000 dollars... and some are cheap packages like this... the frame isnt real sturdy, the speedbag portion of it is weak... ive used them before... but if its your first time... its not a bad deal.

actually, as long as you tighten the bolts properly, the speedbag frame holds pretty well, not the best of course, but its usable. but overall i give the whole thing a 4/5. the double end bag and the heavy bag work great. but its a pain in the ass to assemble lol

I've seen these and they always look cool... but.... you can't circle and move around the heavybag or the double end bag which i do not like. i dont think it is good work for me to just stand there in one spot hitting.

that makes sense, but personally, im an in-fighter, i plant my feet and slug, so with the double end ball, i get all the movement i need. this may be a lame reference, but if you've seen the anime, Hajime no Ippo, my fighting style is exactly like Ippo's, in the sense that both of our trump cards are the heavy right hands.

ya thats a great deal.. that set is prolly the best in-home training equipment... its all in one.. and dont need ot hang nuttin from ur ceiling... it does mess with movement though a little for some bag techniques, like pivets / circling, etc... but this is how i learned to box myself.. i bought a few bags.. hooked up in my room in a smalllllllll spot and didnt get to move my feet much .,.. but taught myself all the proper technique of punching i could.. and now 4 months deep into my gym, its a whole nother ball game even on a bag with open floor. its the next level.. so if u wanna get to that level eventually. dont waste too much more time training at home.. get to the gym once u can punch and not hurt ur hands n wrists
