i was going to get these http://ringside.com/detail.aspx?ID=25499 is that what you are talking about? it says they are bag gloves. i'm confused. could you give me a link please?

For some reason nobody wears a cup when sparing, we do have the daiper looking things hanging around. But the only time i've seen someone wear them is when two mma guys where sparing and one got kneed in the balls couple times.

No those are not what im talking about. You want training gloves, i'd be pissed if someone wanted to spar with bag gloves. These are what you want

+ eleventy billion. Low blows happen. They shouldn't, but they do. Wearing a foul protector makes the difference between saying, "Uh, dude, that was low," and curling up into a fetal position puking on the canvas. Foul protectors don't LOOK cool, but you'd have to be insane to spar without one.

I'd better get me one, i dont know why i didnt yet. I play soccer and soccer ball to the nuts put me on the ground everytime, i do wear a cup when playing now. Can i use the same cup when sparing or should it be made specificly for boxing?

What would you guys recomend? I'd like something light, that doesn't restrain movement too much? Thanks.

I use the Title "Groin Protector Plus." $20. You can use a regular athletic cup for boxing, I guess, but a boxing foul protector covers your kidneys to some degree at and below the beltline. A liver shot will still drop you, BTW; but a low shot to the midsection won't.

They don't impede movement if you spar with it on and get used to it.

I see guys in amateur bouts messing with their foul protectors b/c they're not used to them. Not only do they look ****** pulling at their crotches in front of a hundred pairs of eyes, this also makes them look like they don't know what they're doing. File under "Ring Generalship."
