cheers for the support most people.

i suppose ive jst been a bit of a fool and assumed because ive watched boxing all my life the basics would be there straight away.

hard thing is my gym doesnt have any beginners what so ever so theyre all sparring etc and im the only one struggling with basics.

it was just the way my trainer said 'do you want me to be honest' like i have no ability what so ever.

ah well training again tonight so i work double hard to force the shot all the way up my body and twist my arm at contact!!!

of course you have everything to improve, youve only had six sessions, ive been boxing 1 year and i still have things to learn and always will, dont worry about it,

belive me it all comes with time,
i remember my first boxing session 1 year ago and i go to a really rought place , i remember what i was shadow boxing like, i had open hands and was throwing punches around my stomcah height, i was pathetic! altough i didnt know think it at the time. i wud get the bus every day after school just to go boxing and was really tryed and some sessiopns would be really crappy and i wouldt be told i wasnt listening, and stuff like that and it left me proper gutted. but every session i realised im learning somting new and i was getting better over time. i was always put with the 'B team' which dont get to spar always learn the basics and are genaraly crap, but i kept reading on the internet and practicing. but i didnt over practice remember that because i see theese lads that i can tell go home and practice really hard but what they throw is really s*** , they throw fast little crappy punches, and i kept trying to stand out from this group by showing i lisen and do the tngs corectly.
now i spar reguallry with the 'A team' i got weighed not so long ago, ive been told i might be getting my medial card soon so i can box, and i also went out and bought some boxing boots and shorts which u might want if others at your gym have them.
        anyway so my point is,
all youve got to do is show you lisen, and atchuly lisen.
keep your head up, not litreally, just dont let anythign out you down.
try to throw your punches with proper form and then build speed and power.
learn of the internet, google boxing tips and boxing sites ect or come on here, find out how to thorw your punches. and all that.
show your trainer your not daft by keeping your chin down.
dont act silly , or look pathetic just box realx and learn.
ok im really sorry, i spoke to much again, anyway you get the point.
        IT TAKES TIME

cheers mate i had a really good session friday night where my trainer said i was throwing punches sharper and my form was really good. After about a minute on the pads he said look at you now your confidence is up and i can feel it in your punches. Ive started watching the other guys in the gym who have been there ages and copying them.

i was chuffed after that session though mainly because i was thinkin about how i was throwing shots rather than jst firing my arms at the pads.

what gym you at mate?? im at spennymoor? Any good shops sells boxing gear in boro??
