    very very very gutted

now this may sound very silly to many of you on here. But just got back from my 6th session at the gym and when finishing a round on the pads i asked my trainer how i could improve and he said to be honest everything.

Now ive read and tried to practice throwing the correct punch i.e. turning your body etc but when i go on the pads i seem to just use me arms and not my body. Will it just come with practice??? did anyone else here have the same problem to start with??? how can i improve this??? I managed to throw about 3 correct jabs and my coach said they were the nicest punches id thrown all night but i dont really know what i did right!!

Im willing to work ******ly hard but its just a bit soul destroying when you dont seem to be doin anything right.

sorry if youve all heard similar stories to this one a million times before

well you kind of gave us the answer to your problem...its your 6th session. I've seen people at this stage and even past it who jump when they punch because their so uncoordinated when it comes to transfering bodyweight. Just work hard listen to what your trainer says and once you get more comfortable things start to flow alot better.

Wow you dont have talent 6 sessions in.

      Time to go kill yourself.

Maybe you should start up video games. Everyone's good at that.

It will come with practice....i just dont know how long it'll take you if its your 6th session and you only threw 3 correct punches...JK
Just do a lot, i mean a LOT of shadowboxing, when you can throw punches correctly while shadoboxing without thinking too much about it you'll sure be able to do it on the pads. Work hard and you'll get it.
