I prefer to practice parrying with the smaller 12oz gloves... I don't like the false sense of protection 16oz offers. It's not like I take advantage of my sparring partners, I pull punches as I see fit. You can be a jerk with 16oz gloves just the same as 12s if you want.

We both use 12oz. Calm down there buddy. Sounds like a lot of you do not even box... that's what I am getting from this website, a lot of fakers.

I use a pair of 14oz Grants for hitting the heavy bag. But for sparring I use 18oz gloves. But it depends on your weight, I currently weigh 197 pounds so the gloves feel like nothing.
