The left hook to the liver is the one I hate. I'm a southpaw. I had to get dropped to hands and knees a few times before I figured out exactly where to hold my right elbow.Comment

ur a southpaw eh? i gotta say i HATE fighting southpaws, absolutely hate it, but anyway, the two punches i throw against them 99% of the time are the straight right and the left hook to the liver, one of them will get there. but yea i hear wut u sayin the liver shot is the worst shot to take i think, i would rather get hit anywhere else other than a good clean shot to the liver.Comment

Few questions about effective jabbing to the body:
Is Rahman's jabs to Lewis body a good template to follow? I didn't like how he leaned over to get leverage on his body jabs, it looked like he was a sitting duck if Lewis would've ever dropped a right hand on him.
Do you step in with a jab to the body the same as a jab to the head?
If you're not fast on your feet is the risk vs reward more likely to pay off when trying body jabs? I'm definitely curious as I'm not fleet of foot enough to pull off the things Floyd Mayweather would do, but the effect of good body punching is universal.
Finally, when trying this is there a good step out / pivot position? I'm guessing you don't just land a jab to the stomach and then wait. What were your feet like when you made actual impact and where do you shift your weight to avoid whatever follow-up you ropponent would have?
Definitely interested in learning more about this stuff, great topic!Comment
