I use these on the heavy bag. They're comfortable.

      ^ doesn't look to protective..
but yeah. if you use bag gloves for bags then you shouldn't use it for sparring. i got that
but how bout using training for bags and sparring? i guess it has more padding huh.

i would get both but not now.

i don't want to look like the "noobie with all the good stuff" =(

you can use training gloves on the bags or pads if you want but it may not offer the protection it was meant for but if you are comfortable with it, you are fine. once you use it on the bag/pads dont spar with it. I have all 16oz gloves and 3 pairs. One glove for training (drilling, pushups, occasional mitt/bag glove) , one for heavy work on bag and pads, and one for sparring.

          back to confusion >=|

for bag gloves you can use for spar... if you spar with 14 oz. but if you use it for bag then don't spar.

for training gloves you can use the 16 oz for bags but if you use it for bags. don't use it to spar.

only difference now is the weight.

also training glvoes thumbs are little more padded from waht i see

basicly, you never use bag gloves for sparring at all. period.

              most people do this:

              12oz bag glove for heavybag
              14-16oz training glove for sparring

              some do this:

              14-16oz training glove for heavybag
              14-16oz training glove for sparring

having 2 pairs is a good idea. one for bag/mitts, one for sparring.

on the heavybag, i either use 10oz everlast pro fight gloves (i know, it's a little dangerous for the hands, but it's fun, i like the feeling of being able to use the same gloves used in pro matches), or 16oz title gel training gloves.

for sparring, i use either 16oz everlast pro training gloves, or 16oz ringside imf tech training.

by the way, i notice that shane mosley and ricky hatton often use pro fight gloves on the heavybag. isnt that kind of risky? especially when preparing for a big fight.

but as for mayweather, i always see him using big 14-16oz Winning gloves everytime.

hatton and mosley uses the pro fight gloves but it may actually be the pro bag glove from everlast. it is 10oz and looks nearly identical to the fight glove. It retails for $79.99. But yeah, they look like they are using the fight glove. has anyone noticed in Hatton's workout videos, he is mostly using Lonsdale glove but when you look closer, they are actually Everlast glove with a Lonsdale logo stuck over the Everlast logo! you can still see the rectagle from the everlast sign and part of the word "everlast"

lol, yeah, hatton's camp always has a lonsdale sticker on the gloves. i wonder why they didnt put a lonsdale sticker on the black everlasts in the mayweather fight?
