The whole day was a disaster.

Went to teh footy in the morning. Match was abandoned cos of rain after 20 minutes. Got ****ing wrecked on ale, and had a row with me bird of one week cos she was ignoring me, then i carried on drinkign until 7 in the morn, to seem y hero get KO'd. Then a big fight kicked off in the place cos my mate turned a table over. Fought our way out.

    Went home

and havent recovered from lack of sleep or hangover since!

Great fight though. So proud of Rick. Pbf was just something else.

a check hook is a hybrid punch that is half hook half uppercut, and is used when your opponent rushes in, you use it as a counter... as the oppoonent comes in, you slip away as you throw the punch... he executed it absolutely perfect....

its like golf... you dont need to SLAM the ball to make it go far... hitting it just right... is all you need to do

listen to the post fight interview, after floyd says the name of the shot.

You can clearly hear someone from mayweathers camp shout "chin checker" or something like that.

Its like when you "check" someone with an elbow, stopping them rushing in throwing wild punches. Never seen one end a fight before, usually its just to say to a fighter "come in that wild again and your ****ed", kind of a way of bossing the fight I spose. As for the actual punch itself, it basically a left hook thrown from where you would throw a left uppercut, only more from the side. Its effective because if they block the hook, it just slips right underneath, but if they block the uppercut, it just slips right outside. Unfortunately for Ricky Hatton, if you dont block at all you usually end up on your back.
