Ever had a problem finding a reason to train your ass off?
Sometimes I would always wonder where this whole boxing thing would go, what it would amount to.
I'm an MMA fighter, and pretty much a grappler, but I needed hands, needed them bad so I took up boxing.
Its been 4 years now, training.
Sparring some tough no-name fighters. Fighting in small cards wherever I can, whenever you can.... Ive fought in Finland in the ports, Vasaa mainly, 3 times.
Yes, you get money, but its tip money... its ****ty money and you stay amateur because its not an official fight. But, hey, you get to visit your family and if something is setup, sweet... especially if youre related to one of the best fighters in Europe. Things happen.
Ive gone broke a dozen times. I lost my house a few years back. I'm supposed to go back to school next September to be a firefighter.
Thats great, you get paid to train.
This is the hectic life of a no-name fighter. Some of you are there too, and we all have our problems and habits like everybody else.
The original plan was to go pro as soon as possible, get 3 pro boxing fights under my belt and move on back to MMA.
Now the sport has taken hold of me. How can I go back? I havent been to BJJ for over 1 1/2 years. I havent wrestled in 2. MMA isnt in the past, I'm 21 and young..... but now something new has hit my plate.
Now, its time to save money up and be legit and focused. No sleeping in anymore, I will run in the damn morning.
Staying out late, leaving in the middle of the night to get my **** wet is not on the plate anymore. This is a serious opportunity. This is a serious opportunity.
My home country has recently re-legalized amateur boxing, and I know people there that are friends of their champions.
Fact is, at the moment right now, I have a pretty good chance at whooping the WW boys and taking the title for myself. Maybe God is shining a big bright warm light on me.... and nobody smart would give that up.
I cant sleep anymore, its 3 in the morning. Too much to think about.
This will be my training log.
