I'm on my third gym in about 7 or 8 months. The first was 100 a month but they shut down... and actually the c******s are still charging my account every month even though they have no place of business, their numbers are disconnected, etc. My credit card company says I just have to dispute the charges every month and they can't do anything about it which is f'in ridiculous... but i digress.
The second was I think also 100 but was a lot better until the trainer quit or got fired and they had some 17 year old teaching classes. I have no problem with the age itself, but I'd been sparring the guy the week before and he just started bending over and covering up after like the first time i hit him...
The place I'm at now I paid upfront and i think it came out to like 50 a month but i paid for a year or two years or something. This one is a real small deal run by a good trainer who has some pro fighters so theres better instruction and sparring then i've had, but hours are more restricted.
So anyway, 100 isn't out of the ordinary but make sure you'll get decent instruction and DONT DO AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS. Most places will let you try a few sessions before you sign up so try to go at different times and get a good idea of how they work.

Manimal is the real deal, Carlson Gracie Black Belt, has been in the corner for a lot of great BJJ guys..... although I wouldn't call him the king of BJJ.
