Dehidration is a very serious danger - don't get yourself in that position.

    Thanks

at 6'1 240 I would imagine you've got plenty of water especially in your fat cells. Assuming you're not muscle bound the original diet / training plan sounds pretty much spot on for reasonable fat loss. Keep in mind that fatty cells have a fair amount of water in them. Your hypothalamus will trigger the thirst response when you have sweat a lot and when you have cycled urine two or three times before rehydrating (not just water but any fluid intake). Even though your fat cells are plenty hydrated you may still "feel" thirst. As eluded too above with running you just need to have some will power with this as well. Radical dehyrdration is indeed dangerous, but at 6'1 240 you're likely a ways away from dehydration.

I am an ex-boxer and I believe you should try this diet. In the mornings you should eat a meal that you would typically eat for dinner. This is because throughout the day you will burn this meal off. At lunch eat a balanced meal like steamed vegetables, fruits like bananas, maybe eat some fish and drink some fruit juice with a vitamin supplement. About an hour and a half before your evening workout eat two nutritional bars with about 20 oz. of water. The evening meal should be a low calorie breakfast meal . This is because you won't go to bed with a lot of calories in your stomach. If you are wearing a sauna suit do drink enough water . Good luck and I wish you the best.

I dont understand the part where he tells you no water but drink natural juice (understandable) or diet soda. Diet soda wtf?! That has like no nutritional value in it so I dont understand why he would say to drink that

i have a workout tip, next time your in your gym, RUN.
run out of there and never go back

if you want to lose weight YOU NEED TO DRINK WATER

water is what fuels your kidneys,
you need it to gain muscle weight, and to lose fat weight. it eliminates fat and drains out toxins with exercise, and is needed to fuel your muscles to get bigger, so all around it is key for nutrition. water has no calories, or anything really of that matter, how could it be bad for you. apparently some ppl think it makes you weak, their idiots. i drink a gallon of water a day, thats 8 lbs, and by the next morning its all gone. it flushes all the garbage out of your system that usually turns to fat, so it prevents fat in the first place.
your kidneys need water to operate, its your bodies natural filtration system. without water your body wont be able to eliminate these fats. thats why beer gives you a gut- it dehydrates you, and shuts down your liver and its glucose production. sounds like a good idea huh?
hence the fat old beer belly.
if you dont hydrate yourself, your filtration system will **** the bed like if your an alchoholic. if ur liver and kidneys all ****ed up good luck loosing weight it will be real hard to get the fat out of your body since you ****ed the thing that eliminated it. im kind of over exagerating tho your not gonna destroy your internal organs by only drinking awater bottle a day or less, plenty of americans dont drink water, they only get the water out of soda, and just as many are fat.

diet soda.. lol.. drink gatorade for electrolytes, or half water half gatorade when your working out. he may have been a pro boxer and the whole "tried and true" element may be there, but ok bruce lee used to wear weighted boots when he ran, just cause he did that doesnt mean you should do it. he also trained about 5 hours a day and did thousands of crunches. good idea? no. just cause something doesnt make you fail doesnt make it a good idea, its just a waste of time.

do you have alot of fat or are you mostly muscle?

there is too much of a good thing and you can die from drinking too much water, its called water intoxication so you shouldnt drink too too much, i mean too much is like 3-5 gallons but still. you just dont want to fill up on anything before you train because youll most likely puke. Like i said before all the water i drink is usually gone by the next morning so its not like it just sits in your body and bloats you.

exactly. I mean that stuff shouldnt even be part of any fighter's diet at all. Its not just the short term effects of such foods, some can even have long term effects. Most diet sodas are filled with artificial sweetners and sodium
benzoate (which is a known carcinogen) which they have no clue what they can do to your body in the long run since they have only been around for about 2 or 3 decades
