  • TRICKS and MOVEMENTS in the RING *(PLZ SERIOUS RESPONSES ONLY PLZ)*

After watching alot of tape I started noticing a certain trick that Great fighters do (James Toney, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Bernard Hopkins)

    TIMES THEY DO IT:

    1. During a right arm clinch
    2. When the opponent is holding them in a type of "HUG" clinch
    3. Just in close with both hands Free
    4. When their opponent stepped in too far with the straight (of course missing also)

    TRICK:
That little Push-Off/Bump with the left shoulder that knocks the opponent back enough to throw an Right Handed Upper Cut.

I figure this is an illegal move....*(am I correct about that)*

I was sparring a Pro from my gym and I caught him with it 3 times(not consecutively) ... the 4th time he countered it by faking the lean in...

Well i wanted to know if anyone else knew any tricks such as this that has actually worked for you? not something you been thinking off... not something your so sure would work. something that is sort of a sly move such as this one.

I couldn't get over how well it worked. I even slipped a left hook in after the uppercut one of the times.

-split his guard with your head. Watch some tapes of Hatton. He does it nicely against Tszyu.

That **** became a habit when I was at the gym..

Using my left shoulder or elbow and use my right. Always an uppercut.

                Im serious.

Sticking your head through his guard and splitting it.

Watch Ricky Hatton and Kostya Tszyu. he does it to a tee in this fight. Very dirty, but very effective. And it's very hard to catch.

A)when a fighter sticks their arm out(like a jab basically, but w/o snapping it out) and uses it like a stiff-arm to keep their foes at bay.

1-What like to do when a fighter just leaves their arm extended to keep me from getting close. Instead of trying to bob and weave your way in. I throw an uppercut to their elbow. Usually, they stop trying to use their arm like a telephone pole.

2- I see alot of amateurs & pros just trying to feint and/or bob and weave their way in. I say f**k that, shoot the uppercut to the elbow, if it doesn't break your opponents arm, it will atleast make them think twice about doing it again.

                  B) This particular trick move sounds similar to how the thread starter described Floyd/B-HOP/Toney.

1- When both fighters are in a clinch. you use your shoulder to bump the guy to get him off balance and for that split second the opponent is off balance you use the opposite arm you just shoulder bumped the guy with and throw an over-hand or straight punch.

                  Lets review this...

You shoulder bump your opponent with your left shoulder and you follow it up with either an over-hand right or a straight right. This manuever would work best if your opponent is off balanced from the shoulder bump.

** Keep in mind using your shoulders in boxing is illegal, but if you're slick w/ it. it's a neat little trick.

The best trick in boxing and the most effective, if not deadliest manuever in boxing, all kidding aside.........Is punching your opponent in the nuts! Ask Tito after getting kd'd against Vargas. Ask Cotto after getting rocked by Judah. It works and they eventually ended up ko'ing their opponents.

There's nothing like getting hit in your family ***els, nothing! The pain is excruciating and it takes awhile to get back into the fight if hit with a good nut shot.
