  • anything i should add to my boxing workout?

    i'm picking up some great tips from this site..
    this is my boxing workout..i also do conditioning drills 2-3 times a week..tabata stuff,magic 50 etc..morning runs for 3 miles..3 times a week and lift weights 3 times a week ...alternating push/pull..any tips on my workout would be appreciated..cheers,mark.

    jump rope 5 x 3 mins
    stretching
    shadow box 4 x 3 mins(20 burpees at the end of every round)
    heavy bag 8 x 3 mins
    power drills 6 x 30 sec

    chins 10
    dips 10
    incline pushups 20
    pull ups 10
    wide push ups 20
    squats 20

    repeat 5 times


    core:
    v ups
    supermans
    crunch
    chinnies
    leg raised crunch
    plank 2 mins

    repeat 5 times..

    How bout Sparring? You need to spar regularly if you box.

        Cool...

        What about focus mitts? Double end bag? Speedbag?

        As for the exericses just mix it up from workout to workout. Looks pretty good.

          Add Kettlebell to your power training...for more info get Pavel´s "Enter The KettleBell" book. Split up your training calender and have enough brakes and rest...most important make clear what you want to achieve with your training. competing or just keeping up fit?
