What things shouldnt you do when lifting weights?(techniwues n such)

Should you go to failure each set when training legs? How much lifting is alright without losing leg speed?

i do squats once a week and hit it pretty hard, usually a warm up set, then work up to my max weight, may like 2-4 reps, then another light set. It works well, i would say stronger legs are faster legs. make sure to keep up with running/sprints too.

Lift for power buddy, warm up and do 5x5. It will produce explosive strength

well if the heaviest weight you have is 50s then you should consider |lunges|. Try to pick a distance of about 25-30feet and lunge to that area. Just so you know, you will get very tired either half-way or right before you hit your target. I'm not going to get too deep into this because you can look it up yourself. This workout not only works your legs but it works out your traps and forearm strength as well.

yeah lunges i was seriously considering since i like sending crosses to the lower areas n putting my weight into it. just wondering if theyres ne other "tough" leg exercises i should know.....

Lunges are great for your legs, i've felt more agile since i started doing them. One thing i'd suggest is you go to a weight lifting gym and squat with a barbell and use a squat rack and DONT get the smith machine confused with a squat rack
