First off, the guy in black is a *****; if he has boxed, he hasn't had many fights. Those crazy-ass punches wouldn't hurt him and if he'd fought in the ring (more to the point, if he'd sparred enough people that his coach would allow him to get into the ring) he'd know that there was nothing to be afraid of. A skilled boxer would recognize that there was no actual danger, and would control the distance with stiff jabs, probably breaking the guy's nose in the process. We get new guys in our gym who think they have "skills," who throw down that **** all the time. Stay tight and frosty and you own him.

The "street fighter" guy had no defense. None. I'd get in close in a tight guard and weave, throwing jabs while I slipped; I'd jab him in the nose, the ear, the side of the neck, the armpit, -- quick, hard, Dempsey-style falling-step jabs, striking from different vectors while giving him a moving target b/c he's too ****ing ****** to go to the body -- and then once he was blind and scared I'd go to work on his body with hooks while I kept ducking under those sloppy-ass haymakers and making him look ******. When I got bored with that, I'd come out of a weave with an uppercut and launch that idiot over the fence.

EDIT: Watching it again, I probably would just turtle up, get inside, and stay there; weave and counter until he was on the grass or someone pronounced him TKO. Black Shirt Guy's problem was backing up and being afraid of a guy who really isn't that scary. From the inside, you can destroy a wild puncher.

i box my friends in the streets ( as you can see in my sig, just to give them lessons on not to fight how all the street fighters do, and they are street fighters) at first i just get into a winky wright stance and cover up and DONT BACK UP!..just keep coming forward, he wont know what to do and plus he will get tired after about 40 seconds..after that, basic boxing skills will pretty much take it..it never failed me
keep if for the gym mate.. there's no glory in beating up a young looking kid alot smaller than you that doesnt know how to defend himself

When it comes down to an actual street fight, do not attempt to start boxing.
        It's a fight not a boxing match.

Thats not true. Street fighting is all about intensity at the start, and then its mythodical.

So use your boxing and **** him up with superior style and power.

Even barefist that guy in the video couldnt knock you out with 90% of what he threw.

Actually, the perfect way to fight in a street fight, see Vitor Belfort Vs Wanderei Silva, or if its a larger opponent, Vitor Belfort Vs Jon Hess.

Intensity and accuracy, wait a second, you can learn and perfect that from boxing.

Um, wouldnt you want to move and counter to the body, over and over to make it your fight in like 15 seconds?

The whole time I watched the fight, I was thinking "liver shot" and drooling.

No it is true. Do not attempt to use boxing while in a street fight.
Sure you get to him first with straight hard punches but don't walk in thinking you guys are going to have a box-off.

Before I started training I got into a fight with a boxer on a basketball court. He came at me and I started winging shots from anywhere. The result I cracked him about 5 times before he even made it to me. And when he did I threw his ass down.

It's a fight, people will try and hit you with an object or worse. Put him down as fast as possible. A knee to the head works the same as a jab, right, left hook combo.

Save your boxing for the boxing ring.

I would of just stood my ground n thrown straight shots. The guy left his head wide open, and his wide shots werent going to hurt anyway.

The guy in the brown shirt should of let his hands go

Exactly what I said. Weave and counter. It wouldn't have lasted 15 seconds.
