let's face it, no video game machine which costs a few hundred bucks is gonna be able to replicate boxing to a level to satisfy real boxers

I reckon the game will be fun and will be a good workout BUT anyone concerned that playing a game like that excessively may ruin your real boxing technique ?

I am damm sure that throwing technically perfect punches will NOT be the best way to beat this game. There will be sloppy shortcuts which will make you better at the game but may hurt your real boxing game.

    thoughts ?

That makes some sense, but unless you play the game obsessively and go for cheats like youre talking about i really doubt it would do any harm. You could put effort into doing things right and make it more helpful. I wouldn't be surprised if it helped a little with reflexes too. I couldn't tell how good the slipping and ducking were but theres some definite potential there for a decent benefit.

Obviously I wouldn't use it instead of working out or going to the gym but it would be a fun supplement.
