I'm also experimenting with the philly shell, I find it encourages me to be more mobile on my feet.
I'd say check out any video of James Lights Out Toney or Pretty Boy Floyd, both are very good at using the philly shell. I think you basically bring your rear hand from in front of your face to the side of your head to block the left hook.
Let us know how you get on with this style bro!!!

yea ur right hand comes to the side of ur head to block the hook, but make sure to move after that or u'll get tagged with a right.

Ive accidently come up with my own variation, out of reflex I end up bringin my arm elbow straight up, fist down and I duck my head behind it, the right hands land on my elbow everytime, but it leaves my body and ribs WIDE open and I need to stop it.Last edited by Animal Squabbs; 10-16-2007, 12:09 AM.

It is very easy to watch a video of Floyd Mayweather and think to yourself: "I can do that!" The fact is you can't. If you could, you wouldn't have to ask that question. Still to traditional boxing skills. May not be a cool but it is safer and easier.
