Training While Sick

  • Training While Sick

    I got sick last weekend with the flu. My question is...do u guys take time off or do you train?

    Right now..nothings fun i feel like the biggest nerd bringing kleenex on my runs
    Sparring is ruled out because i got gassed within 2 minutes hittin the pads.
    I started coughing yesterday while doing bench press and almost dropped the weight on myself and i didnt have a spot.
    Skipping i have to constantly stop cause i cant breathe. (which is really embarassing...i feel like a fat kid)

    Should i keep training or just stay in bed for a few days.
    The thing is if i dont train i know im just gunna lay around playing 360 get into a game and fall behind in my training

    if your really ill id take time off till its fully healed.

      let your body heal. it's gonna take longer to get better if you dont. your body needs the energy your using up to heal itself. drink some tea and get in bed... a great excuse for some rest days!

        I got really sick a month ago and I still went to boxing and tried working it off.But then it got worse so I took a few days off.

          Just rest up bro, specially with flu. The training could further deplete your immune system and your flu could develop further complications such as pneumonia.

          Take it easy bro.

            rest up til u get better.... and play that 360, we can play fight night online if ya want ...... but then u'll get sicker cuz u'll get yo ass beat lol!!

              haha oh fight night...i havent played that in awhile my life revolves around Gears of War, Halo 3 and Eternal Sonanta and then when im bored i mess around in Oblivion
