Well I run and spar.I try to balance it out and do it frequently. If you just run,you have runners wind. Therefore when it translates in the ring you'll get tired because you're not used to the tiring movements that you do in the ring that you dont do when running. Same as if you spar and dont run, you'll get tired fast because you dont run.

So my advice it 2 do both frequently, thats the only way you'll build up wind. As for me I can go 6 rounds at a fast pace with no problem.I havnt went further because my sparring partners get tired. Now of course this is due to doing both. I usually run 5 days a week and spar at least 2 times a week so it balances out. Try that.

The advice given is exactly your problem im fine in the ring sparring 5-8 rounds but after running for 1/2 an hour im winded. As well you have to train your body anerobically as well as aerobically.

good advice from both guys. running will make u better at running, not sparring. boxing will make u better at boxing, and running will make u better at boxing, so make to run AND box. long jogs, intervals, sprints, conditioning drills, jump rope, etc.
