  • wanna mix up my routine..

    im getting stuck with doing the same boxing workout..any tips on what i can change or add to this schedule?thanks

    10 mins stretching
    4 x 3 mins jump rope
    6 x 3 mins heavy bag
    30 sec punch out drills with 10 sec rest x 10
    2 x 3 mins jump rope
    3 x 3 mins ab work(usually 30 sec of eachcrunches,v ups,leg raises etc)
    10 10 10 10 10
    pushups,diamond,wide grip,wide,pullups,chin ups
    10 mins cool down with stretching..

    i also lift weight 3 days a week..8-12 rep range.as wanna add a bit of muscle.
    and do conditioning drills 2 - 3 times a week.

      jus mix up wut u do. dont have a routine set in stone take wut u normally do and mix it around. sometimes do 2 min rounds sometimes 3, sometimes 4. jus keep changin it up however u feel like it and throw in some different stuff here and there. no can tell u exactly wut to do, u jus gotta wing it and make sure u get a good workout. a good trainer can assist u in this. hope that helps...

          good to start out with.. throw in some squats, hand stand pushups maybe.. i personally like doing push presses for my shoulders..

            agree about more squats, also I'd add burpees, knees to chest jumps, star jumps....working legs is crucial

                  I do squats with weights once a week when i lift, but otherwise i do bodyweight squats as a conditioning workout before starting my boxing workout

                    yea squats are the bomb!! i do bodyweight squats and handstand pushups every morning after my roadwork sessions and i wouldnt go a day without em. when i lift i dont squat tho, i jus do olympic lifts (clean and jerk, power snatch) and the deadlift. i am thinkin bout adding some heavy squats in there as well supersetted with some plyometric movement for the legs...
