    No i'm not a wimp !

My nose is very tender at the moment (not broken). It's either protect it for a few weeks or not spar at all.

Never used one b4, do they cover your mouth and nose? Doubt id be able to breathe properly when sparring if they covered them.

they restrict ur breathing a bit. i used one when i was younger and it makes it harder to breathe, which i guess could be good in building up ur wind, so i would say get one until ur nose heals properly...

Our gym has one. The face saver makes it very hard to breathe, but it works good. I play the saxophone professionally and use the face saver when sparring if I have a gig the next day but I still want to spar heavy. Beware the uppercut and the hook to the jaw; either of those punches, when they hit the bar, will spin the headgear right around.
