    I sweat like a 400lber running 3rd story steps. I sweat the most at my gym. I lose like 5 pounds of weight in like 2hours at the gym.Of course I gain it all back later on,but thats alot of damn weight. It always looks as if I jumped int the pool,my whole body.

      I wonder if sweating has to do with age too. I played basketball and did track in high school but don't remember ever dropping buckets like i do now.

        sweating is a good thing if anything, shows your working your body hard. I always liked to be soaked after a good sesssion, helps keep the weight down to.

          It's genetics. Your glands secreting sweat is predetermined wether you work out or not. Now if you have more fat on your body you also have more insolation and your body's core temp will get higher during physical exertion and yes you will sweat more than sombody with less fat. But some people just sweat more than others. No matter what shape they are in.

                How much you sweat is mainly genetic

                I have seen very fit people who sweat like pigs walking

                I have seen fat very unfit people hardly sweat in the hot sun

                Sweating is no indication of fitness at all

                    you are all WRONG. Yes the amount you sweat is primarily in your DNA but someone who pushes their body to the point where it over heats and needs to cool down on a regular basis is going to sweat more and quicker than someone who does not regularly open up their pores. Also those who actually fight have their bodies conditioned to the response of fight or fight which includes sweat. I forget the expression but their is a medical term for when your body turns on the sweat in a combat situation. Either way the more you sweat the healthier. Think of it as your body releasing toxins....ever hear after a night of beer drinking, sweating it out the next morning.. Guys I sweat more than a whore in church and I can be doing barely nothing and the sweat starts poring out. Good for health, not good for picking up hoes in the club

                      screw the genetics and dna bull****

                      sweating is based off of how hydrated your body is, your weight, size and body fat percentage, the bigger the person and a higher body fat %, the more water their body retains and easier they sweat - read an article if your that curious

                      I weigh about 128, body fat is at 6.7%, I'll brake a sweat, a few drops of sweat off my face here and there, but nothing like the heavyweights who look like they jumped in a swimming pool
