Trunks Sizing -- Light Heavyweight

WTF -- the trunks sizing shows this:

Size Chart:
Size Length Weight Waist
Small 19.5" Up to 112 lbs. (26-28)
Medium 20.5" 112 to 132 lbs. (30-32)
Large 21.5" 132 to 165 lbs. (34-36)
X-Large 22.5" 165 to Heavywt. (38-40)
XXL 23.5" Super Heavywt. (42-44)
Length is from top of waistband to bottom of trunks

Are these guys high? I'm 170 lbs with a 32 waist. Anybody got my build, and what size trunks do you wear? Also, do you account for a groin protector in the waist measurement, or does the "belt" sit above the groin protector?

Getting ready for a possible amateur bout (Master Division) this fall, and I'll need official gear.

i have the large ones for 165 and they fit good. those trunks come pretty tight so those sizes are not the same as like gettin pants or whatever. but those sizes are kinda funky i agree. i think if u get the large u'll be ok, unless ur a big 170, then get the XL...
