Making weight mostly, I was growing up rapidly at that age (16-18) and diet, crucifying training and making weight were hurting me a lot. I still got minor problems with kidneys, that's why I don't recommend no one to kill themselves losing weight(especially if they are skinny/lanky) at the young age.

no, it's ok for you, if you are mature and in good health you can do it. It's just bad for young kids to kill themselves getting at weigth.

                6AM - roadwork
7AM - Breakfast - oatmeal with a banana and a cup of green tea
1130AM - Turkey breast sandwich on 2 pieces whole wheat bread with non fat cheese, and an apple
3PM - Whole weat pasta with piece of tilapia, and an apple
5-7PM or 6-8PM - train at the gym
                9PM - 10grams glutamine
                10PM - sleep
                ...repeat every day

this is what im gonna try and do, DA1, if u read this lemme know if this is similar to what u did, and anyone else lemme know of any tips if ya got any on makin weight fast cuz i dont wanna fight at 178 unless i have absolutely 100% no choice... thanks guys lookin forward to da responses.

Yes that is excatly what I did...But I Subbed the Your Glut. at 9 for a fruit cup..

Theres another way also... But its more strict than this one but allows you to eat whenever .... It is also more permanent in keeping the weight off.
Here it is.. Only eat MEAT and Veggies. No bread.. no high calorie juices .. just meet Veggies and water ... (I drunk coffee on it and it still worked) ........................You can eat whenever though... It won't work if you try mixing the diets either.. alwready tried.. its one or the other.. But both take alot of will power.

Its wether you have the will power to not eat after 4.. or not eat anything but Veggies and meat.. your pick.

P.S. I was in your same situation.. 184 and didnt wanna fight 178.. I made it to 164 in 12 days fir the fight I posted.. No B.S. ... You'll see for yourself...

Ya might need a vitamin for the meat diet... and it takes a lil longer to lose the weight but it lasts.

I hope this helped you. (I'm gopnna post a recent pic to show the new results from these 2 diets. and I'm 165 also.)

This is the first decent thread I've seen for a while...

There's been a lot of good advice given, I wouldn't recommend the sauna suit unless it comes down to THE DAY, and you really have no choice but to sweat that weight off before you get on the scale.

Also, fruits are always a good thing, but remember sugar is sugar, whether you get the glucose from an apple or a Snickers, you're still getting it, so that's just something to think about. If you're really trying to bring the weight down, especially fat, try to keep carb intake to a minimum. Someone mentioned saving that apple from lunch and eating it as a snack, I'd highly recommend that.

Eating at night isn't such a hot idea, especially any high carb or fat foods. I like your glutamine idea, it will help you recover from workouts well, and you don't need protein shake or whatever(which when burnt, like much is, adds calories to the count, just like everything else).

                  Obviously, keep running...

A vitamin wouldn't be a poor idea, considering at the end of the day, you are eating less... Honestly, I take multivitamin everyday, considering how much you sweat in the morning's roadwork, it's a good idea.

Be careful about using caffeine as a way to lose the weight, it will help a bit in the begining, but eventually you'll need more and more...

Just remember, that at the end of the day, it's all about calories in vs. calories out (haha, as a biologist, it pains me to say that, since it's actually pretty untrue... but it's a good rule to follow). You have enough time, and a reasonable goal. All you really need to make sure you have is the willpower. Also, be prepared to lose some muscle, that's just the way it is. Your body burns muscle just like fat, carbs or protein in the GI/Vessels.

                  Good luck man,
