I don't drink beer or wine. When I drink, I make sure that I drink with a diet type drink ie. bourbon and diet coke. This is a lot better for you calories wise. Been doing this for the last 6 months now. I never drink regular soft drinks and when I have had a sip of one recently they really do taste overly sugarry (spelling :P). But you definitely get used to it.
