wow, that is hard to say. You sure it's not water in the knees? Arthritis comes and goes, I know cause my Mom's and several Aunts get it, especially in the Winter.

        But check this out...

In the Army, you run....ALOT! My Unit ran (5 miles) Mondays, Wednesdays and Company Runs every Friday @ 06:00 hundred hours. Sometimes with boots! After each run, I would get sore in my right knee. It wasn't until I "cracked" my knee that it felt better. In other words...until I made that "click" sound when I bent my knee while stretching, I would develope "Shin Splins". What caused it was a lack of stretching, and wear and tear on the knee cap, where a full range of motion was limited by constant running at a less than 45 degree angle.

Try stretching before and after EVERY run. Believe me, when you hear your knee go..."CLICK", it would have aligned in the center where it should be.

BTW....Swimming....works every part of your body! More power to you, Bro.

If you have access to a swimming pool for training, by all means start swimming. It is so much better for your body and causes less stress.

dude you should swim. the impact of running is quite bad on the knee. my dad has the same problem his doc told him to swim cos it breaks the arthritis up or something.

i had the same problem and yes when i changed the shoes it went away as well as i was given by my doctor the orthepdic insert because i have flat feet.

It is better to use Reebok or Osus and there is another amercian brand which is not famous dont remeber it name i think it called sayouininc something like that

You could reduce the rate of you running and do swimming it alway good to combine you exercise to have the best possiable outcome

if u swim leisurely, you burn about 100-120 cals in bout 15 minutes, depending on bodyweight of course... i wouldnt substitue swimming for running, i would add swimming, u need impact exercise to get used to the rigors of the ring.
