Sparring with headguards on

I hate it, it makes me blind to hooks, does anyone agree headguards suck??

I couldn't tell ya, as I've not sparred with hooks yet. Which makes me kinda amaturish, but yeah, I could see how it could make your periferal terrible. Though there are many kinds of headguards. Plus, it's better for the protection.

Yeah every type Ive tried blinds me to hooks, its more dangerous IMO then leaving yur head uncoovered.

Saddly, the only kinds I have had the time to try are a full face mask, which sounds silly, but it's the kind the trainers at our gym put the newbies into to practice defense first.

My main complaint is that it gets way to sweaty.

they only p*** me of when there 2 tight n squash your ears but it beater than been punched in the head

yeah i agree. Also because i fight with my head tucked in similar to cotto it makes it hard to see all your opponents as well as his wide hooking shots.
I prefer being hit with a head guard on than with out as for me it absorbs most of the power, which means it doesnt hurt.
