  • How to snap your punches??

can someone explain to me how exactly you snap your punches..

throw them as hard and fast as you can, basically. But snap isn't a technique, snap either comes naturally or doesn't.

i like the throw them as fast and hard as u can post, but u forgot to add to bring them back to ur face faster than u threw them out. also, one can learn to add snap to their punches. its all speed and explosive(ballistic) power.

Yeah, that's the kind of punches I throw all the time. Basically what everyone said. I do it by throwing quick but without tensioning up the arm until I get full extention. As soon as my arm is almost out, then I tense it up and pull it back real fast. A kid I would spar with, shots that I put not much power into said he felt them real good and knew I wasn't loading up on them yet. I never really dropped hard bombs on him and he was all over the place. I can't imagine throwing any other way your punches.

Kind of like snapping a towel on someone. Throw it out fast and bring it back even faster. Its that simple,no paragraphs needed.

Its down to the point. Its more simple when its straight to the point, but mastering it you would have to do in person of course with some1 looking at you.

i think the only think i dont do is pull my hits back fast. the only reason this came up is becoz wen i hit the bag it swings all over the place, ive been boxing for 6 yrs and noone has ever picked up on it. ive never felt that ive pushed my punches but i leave them out there longer than they should be.. thanks for the advice ima try it and see if i notice a difference

just make sure that you never fully extend your arm in a punch unless you want to damage your elbow joint. if you box, you probably know that, but it is still good advice for any beginners here.
