    Nursing a Groin Injury

I pulled my groin a few weeks back playing Capture the Flag at work (boys and girls club paid to have fun lol). And after awhile of being on my legs it really starts to hurt and hinder my movement. Should i just rest up for a few weeks or just train lighter. Also is their any stretches i can do to help with it

I would rest up, your body aint gonna be able to heal it, if you keep workin out

i would def take some rest, but dont sit around all day. try and keep ur muscles down there loose and warm and stretch them out (butterfly stretches, various leg stretches) but dont overdo it, it you feel too much discomfort, dont do anything, but u def dont want to jus sit up and get ur groin all tight and painful and not be somewhat active.

My groins are shredded to bits (soccer injuries), so I know your pain.

        1. Groin injuries recur easily, so rest until completely healed.

        2. Groins are connected to each other through lower ab, all three muscles will pull and tear if you workout while not yet healed.

        3. You can strengthen it, when it's ready, but tying any rubber band-like thing you can find to a radiator or other stationary anchor and doing VERY LIGHT pulls

        4. Strech it by going to one knee, with the other foot forward, and leaning forward, back upright (Edit: you might have to bend back slightly back) and hand on lower back. You can isolate various areas of the groin with variations of this stretch.
