I have sparred, and watched a lot of sparring with defenders who fight the traditional defense like Oscar has, and I have to say that it seemed like Floyd was throwing some really bush league jabs at Oscar's gloves for most of the fight, but the scorers gave him credit for over half of them. Obviously Floyd blocked most of Oscar's shots, its a lot flashier and easy to see with his Philly shell style. Anyone else think that this stuff wouldnt have been scored even at the amateur level?

For those who have actually boxed/sparred: were Floyd's jabs landing?

In the first seven rounds they werent. I thought Oscar had excellent defense the first seven rounds. He was parrying most of Mayweather's jabs and blocked a lot of his right hands too. Then he started getting tagged near the end of the eighth, and that carried on until the last round. He clearly lost eight through eleven because of that.
And Floyd's jabs werent powerful, but they were still landing flush.

God.. i can hardly remember it now. But i must say i do remember watching and thinking that DLH's defence was something of boxing virtuosity. I didn't think Floyds jabbed connected half as much as he was given credit for - DLH looked really good. Its a shame DLH tired later on and allowed PBF to win - and proberbly rightfully so.

Most of them landed on Oscar's gloves and the only damage they done was the "your own glove against your face type"
