I think ankle weights are fine as long as you dont come down on them hard... I use them almost everyday and my ankles and knees are strong. But u have to use them in the right way through a circuit Start by loosening up and giving time for your ankles to stretch, then put on the ankle weights and move and box but when your done you must follow up and movearound for about two more rounds w/o them. its about your muscel fibers when you use the weights you must move after w/o them otherwise if u rip the fiber since in boxing u constantly r moving they never heal making them weaker every time you doit but if you do it a little at a time you stretch the fibers and when u move around they go back to normal but this time a little stronger it goes the same way w/ weights. sry for how f***in long this was.
