Ive spend a while researching why the hips are turned throwing a punch.
If I say that to most people on here they will say "To put your bodyweight into it."
But I'm not sure. It seems that it may be to increase speed and acceleration rather than anything.
Because turning your hips doesnt make your hand or arm heavier which is the impact tool.
And the body isnt always directly behind the punch so its not adding any mass behind it.
So it would seem that it is speed.
Although, A lot of heavyweights hit slowly but with a lot of power?
