Its just booze with me. Before i decided to get back into boxing, i'd gone to uni and could drink 12 pints of lager and finish the night of with a kebab or pizza or whatever. I used to work in a restaurant and eat **** and drink all night too! I used to get paid late on saturday night, and on sunday i'd go down the pub with my pal and spend it all on beer, drinking alllll day. I reckon i could still drink enough to sink a battleship. haha.

To get back into boxing and start competing, i have to start shifting the weight. So i've lost about 22lbs this month through dieting and HARD training. But i still like a good drink - so i go and have a blow out, once every two or three weeks- but only if my dietting has been perfect as is my training. Its my reward i guess - I still lose weight and i manage to control the beer monster inside of me.

I know its bad, but its off season - as soon as im leading upto the fight i won't be able to touch it.

I've found i've saved a lot of money, so usually if i need a thrill or something, i bet on a couple of horses or bet on football (soccer to you danny) or boxing.

But i definately miss my beer.

I guess we all have obstacles ot overcome, some people more than others. Rocky Marciano gave up all his bad habits and became a training fanatic. If that is what it takes, then that is what you have to do. All depends on how badly you want it.

I have the same problem,I jut get boared and get ****ed up. I try to train but, i work 12 hour shifts,12p-12a. time I get out, it to late to run, because in my neighborhood their is mad dogs out at night and u can't see them and I can't here them because of my Ipod. I get bit and can't find out from where or what. I can't hit my bag it's so late and it make to much noise. U can only do so many situps and push ups. I get boared and get lifted. Then I wake up at 1130a and go to work, because I'm up so late. It's hard getting up at 9 am go to running, then work out, when u go to sleep at 430am. How do u guys stay motivated ?

In all honesty man my situation is different. You can totally be in bed by 2 and up at 10 for a nice workout. I make time for training and always find it but really enjoy letting loose every so often and thats my problem. You may just need to make it a priority to train and until than you will not have the motivation needed

ur probally right, I just can't find the motivation to get up. Don't get it twinsted, I still run 3 times a week, but i do that to stay in some type of shape. But for me to really get it in,i just can't get motivated at all. My problem is i like sleep to much and sometimes I don't leave work until 1 am and time i get home and chill out,it 4am. I have motivation problems, because if u really want it nothing will stop u. Somedays i will be motivated, but it last for a week and i just get tired of punishing my body. i want to fight so bad,it's just geting in shape that messes me up. any suggestions people ?
                    what motivates u ?
