You're from UAE? I saw a couple of fighters from there, at the tournament in Turkey. They weren't very good, I have to admit...Comment

Oh, and the Cuban lost to a boxer from Kasakhstan in the quarterfinal. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on that, though. The final was between two guys from Turkey, neither of who deserved to be in the final. Some ridiculous decisions down there....
Apparently this guy beat the Kasakh you linked to at the World Championships in 2005.Last edited by PunchDrunk; 05-21-2007, 07:40 AM.Comment

But back in 70s-80s, even the russians admit that cubans were their toughest opponents, they still are today.Comment

most of them work for the military and they dont give them holidays for training or anything so it is kinda pretty hard for them in a way.
max of most of them started boxing for about 2 years only one who trained for 4 years and sometimes he doesnt train everyday.
So everything they do it they are doing it for free and i dont i know if they given some pocket money if they went there.
one of the guys KOed the Africian champ who was Tunsian at the Arab championship
it is something good because boxing is still a new sport and for me if i want to get in i train with these guys we have 1 coach who is Uzbek and the other coach Morrocian who is substitue lack of regional comptition and many other things are against these guy even sometimes the gym does not fit for more that 8 people to trainComment

Oh, I know how hard it is to compare with the top countries. My boxers are part time as well, working regular jobs etc.... The national federation here is ****, so my club basically has to do everything. The national coaches here are a complete joke, who are only in it so they can go on trips as tourists...
we have only about 3 club and the fedration which is in the captial and there is not other clubs in the captial
it really hard to competite with someone doing this stuff when he was just 7 and have so much support.
even if you notice his reflex is pretty good compared to your guy he even moved away from the bodyshots that is pretty hard
if you here you could go to the chat room it would be faster there to speakComment
