Hi all. i signed up to boxingscene a while ago and ive been logging on every so often for a look but i thought its time to get a bit more vocal.
Basically im a complete novice boxer and ive only been doing it for about 3 months training twice a week at the gym plus my stuff at home (running, situps etc) Ive noticed recently that the day after my training at the gym my wrists are in agony, to the point that i cant even pick up the kettle to make a cuppa because they hurt so much an have no strength in them. i spoke to one of the more experienced boxers at the gym and he says not to worry its probably just 'conditioning' , my wrists getting used to more punishment than they usually used to and gradually it will go away when my wrists become strong enough. So i thought id ask a wider audience with a lot of fighters of different experience levels. Did anybody experience this at the start of their boxing career? Thanks in advance.
