Maybe I'm not stating it right but what I really want to know is whats the biggest difference between...Jogging, sprinting, or mixing both....

Intervals have proven to be the most effective. However, if you persist in looking at Milano, you are endanger of running up the road with your **** in your hand!

you should have 3 types of running training.

1 - the long, even pace, slower run
          2 - interval training
          3 - sprinting

The long run will build up general fitness and cardio endurance, whilst sprinting and intervals are good for increasing your lactic acid threshold (amount of lactic acid you can take in your muscles before stopping) and Vo2 max ( max amount of oxygen your muscles can usefully use)

I do sprints round a track, 6 laps jogging followed by 6 laps (1.5 miles) sprinting. If you can get below 8 minutes for 6 laps you will have a good level of fitness suitable for boxing.

Intervals are good for recreating the flurries of punches in a boxing match...getting you used to expending a **** load of energy in a short time, then recovering quickly, and going again.

The long slower run will benefit you for ****ing out an even paced boxing style, round after round..

when using all 3 correctly at the right intenity, you can turn yourself into a monster in the ring who will get stronger as the fight goes on.

In pro and amatuers, in my opinion, you can win fights by simply out conditioning the other guy...

There is nothing more horrible for your opponent to see than you getting stronger and pushing more each round...

it will take his heart away and the fight will be yours.

              Ok

You must vary your runs don't do the same run two days in a row. Jog,Hard runs, Sprints, and Swimming(in place of jogging).

              Jogging
Just a nice pace that you can do for a long period of time.
WHY DO THIS it help to open you lungs up more so you are using more of your lungs capacity. It also promotes blood flow through your whole body to help aid in the repair of muscle fiber.

              Hard Runs
This term mean run at a pace that you can run at for a round of combat. Rest for as long as the rest period you are given in a fight. Repeat for as many round that you for plus one.
              WHY DO THIS
This style of running lets your body understand what it will be going through and it lets your mind understand and not freak out mid fight.

              Sprints
This style of running should be done in a short length but as fast as you can run it.
              WHY DO THIS
So you can recover after a flurry of Punches and Kicks. So you can do it over and over till the round is over or you get them up out of there.

              Swimming
Just get in a pool a move around. You can swim laps or you can just walk around.
              WHY DO THIS
It lower the impact on the joints. Plus you can work your whole body very hard and have fun at the same time.

I am a adult so you can give me the good the bad and the really ugly. I will be ok if you think I am dumb everone at my gym thinks I am.
