    Antonio Margarito jaw

    near the bottom of this it has margarito with a towel on his jaw, does anyone know if this is to strengthan his jaw, and how do you perform this exercise.

    bad link.

    i covered neck exercises not too long ago on this board. it might give you some ideas as to the variety of neck exercises.

    i do know jaw exercises as well, but i can't just be handing out training secrets all the time.

          well, the exercise is generally called a "bridge." bridging exercises are a staple in various chinese martial arts in particular.

          basically, it is a still pose or posture that you hold for a certain amount of time. i don't recommend doing them unless they are specifically taught to you by a person with experience. i practice some advanced bridge exercises that would be extremely dangerous for someone who has undeveloped core strength, bad posture, and a wrong idea of how to perform the exercises.

          these exercises are important and work on a number of levels. i was actually a bit surprised that some boxers do basic bridges.
