  • Newbie, needing help.

Hi i'm new here and fairly new to boxing. I started boxing a couple of weeks ago and am in need of a proper training diet.

Instead of running in the morning, i'm riding my bike on my paper round, which is about 3 miles long, is this all right or should I have a run aswell.

I go to a gym which have lessons, but I've known the owner for around 9 years and he let's me train whenever I want but, only 4 times a week. What should I do on these other days becuase I feel uneasy when i'm not training.

Really all i'm asking for is just a begginner training guide that I can push up a couple of levels when I get better, also it would be handy if there was an eating guide aswell.

    Thanks in advance.

Well at the moment becuase of school I don't get much time in the morning to run or have enough time from school to get to the gym at the required time. But I am leaving school next wekk so running will be easier.

So has anyone got a quick day by regime they could give me and maybe what I should eat? I looked on ross boxing and training and it didn't help me that much.

i wouldn't give up the bike riding in favor of jogging. i would supplement jogging with bike riding.

bike riding is better for your knees than running/jogging and is good for your calf muscles.
