I think having some music in your ears also helps me keep going just because it drowns out the sounds.
It drowns out the sounds of my heavy breathing and wheezing when i'm pushing harder or coming to the end of my stamina. It also takes my mind off and stops my inner-monologue of doubting thoughts that i sometimes get...
sometimes i'm running and all i can hear myself saying in my head is "your gonna give up soon!" "your can't make it ya fat bastard!". Some good music can take my mind away from the doubts, especially if i'm singing

"lie to work out to rap , it is an essential part of my training, **** rocky music. that **** puts me to sleep lol. unless i remix it into a beat :P"
Hey man everyone deserves their opinion but i promise you if you were a kid when the rocky flicks came out you would not be saying, F rocky ****; I hear that in my ear and the heavy bag starts crying. If you want to get into old school rap that is my forte, wu-tang clan, biggie, tupca, gangstarr, big pun, old DMX, thats some good shizz...

Reggaetonand I have been listening to the same tracks over and over because I do four miles around my 'hood' and when a track ends I can tell if I am ahead or behind my time. I am doing four miles in 30 minutes right now...aka 8/hr.

I listen to No Way Out from the Rocky soundtrack. When I was 3 I named my dog Rocky after the movie. I don't know what it is but, I just get insanely pumped when I here a montage; almost like when ya chug half a fith of Cuervo. or sometimes it's AC/DC- Furror off of the Ballbreaker album.Last edited by Kell_mcguire; 05-09-2007, 04:36 AM.
