  • **** sake am i ever going to be motivated

Ok so after saying i was determined ive been bugggin off from the gym and eating unhealthily and drinking and smoking at the weekend. Yet again im saying im going to start taking it seriously and im not sure if im going to have the motivation still. Although a few good things that may help - its the start of the month which means itl be easier to keep a track of my progress, im leaving working in KFC which means less eating fatty food. Im starting a job in a bar which means il be working nights so i wont be able to go out and drink, but means it may encourage me to drink. Im thinking of drawing up a plan to help me. Im going away to Hawaii in July and when i get there i want to go to a gym and fight a few people from there but if i cant stay at it i'll just get rolled. I know its going to be near impossible for me to cut things out completely but even cutting down would be ok will it?? Thats the attitude i dont want to have but i do !

And one thing not really related - did anyone see that thing about Mayweather that when he was younger he used to go out with his brother and they used to try and find the hardest guy they could and Mayweather would beat the **** outa him... what a legend!!

this is the mental part of boxing.
u gotta get focused in the head before any type of training.

i dunno what will give u that spark of motivation u need, maybe watching classic fights, watching ur favorites, going to some live boxing, or maybe just one hard day of training will get you back in good schedule.

just get focused man, stay dedicated, if u need time off just chill for a couple weeks then u should be good. boxings a killers sport, people try to rip ur head off , that should be enough motivation to hit the bag for an hour. thats a start. go for a nice run at midnight or 8 am. start drinkin healthy and eating healty so ur body will be at its best for training.

    good luck man

I guess the only thing is to say to you is what do you really want to be in life. You can taste beer, smoke, good food almost any time in your life. There will almost certainly be one chance to touch sport glory in your life. I for one, would hate to look back and just think 'what if'....

You need to sort yourself out pal! Its difficult to give up the things you like. I should know, i'm currently trying to drop 2.5 stone in weight in order to compete again next season, after a long lay off. Its difficult, i know, because i love drinking beer and eating ****. So set yourself a target but don't cut out everything, or you'll just break.

Every 2 weeks, go out for a couple of beers and eat something nice, but ONLY if you've been strict on yourself. If you diet and train hard for 13 days out of 14, then you will get fitter, faster and better.

The biggest incentive to get better at the game is the fact that -if your ****, then you get hit. So get better and you won't feel as much pain - oh yea and drop the drugs, they'll just make you dopey and i wouldn't let you in my gym if you were on that ****e.

Ayo i sometimes experince the same LACKLUSTER approach to training man, but its really all in ya head, see i tend to get discouraged myself when im to sore or dont feel like goin to the gym and becuz of it actually put on close to 50 pounds.... See you gotta ask yaself man do you wanna train for fun or for a living? Do you wanna be known as a guy who works hard or gets worked harder, its never easy to be the one at the gym whos only there every so often and when you are, your either slacking off or being told your slacking off....... See what iuve done man is get myself back into shape slowly and at a pace that encourages me to do more, i watch a lot of Boxing VID and do alot of shadow boxing, i try to visualize my future as a boxer rather then plan it out!

You may even need some extra supplements man such as Creatine or some sorta of energy giver becuz if you like me smoke weed often man that **** is a boxers KRYPTONITE when it comes to motavation and pushes you further back then forward!@
