  • need advice on skipping rope

    I started jumping rope for a cardiovascular workout and I would like to be able to do different things besides just jump straight up and down with both feet. I would like to learn how to do things like the boxers shuffle but my coordination is really bad at this point. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to learn the boxers shuffle and other styles boxers use to skip rope. Any advice is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

    Really all you can do is practice...take it slow, and speed up as you get better.

      yeah just praactice liek everything it take a lil time. You kind of disipline yourself with the jumrope in wich if you mess up you slash yourself with the rope.

              yup, hurts like hell too. I did that thursday with one of those weighted ones, the rope was like some hard material, felt like i had whipped myself.

                if you train at a club, watch the other people skipping and you mite pick something up from them, dont stair at your feet, look straight and try and concentrate, after a while it will come natural to you
