Whats better?to run 6 miles?or 3 miles at a fast timed pace? for conditioning

    At 11??? I guess you missed out on a great track and field career...

    A "strong pace" at 3 miles is faster than a strong pace at 6 miles. Higher intensity > longer distance.

      And I try and use the example that distance activities that "Keep your heat in the target zone LOL" are modified versions of a brisk Jane Fonda walk. That aint going to do **** for your conditioning.

      Running as fast as you can for a mile > Jogging 3 miles.

        Thats not to fast of an 800m When I was 11(really active in track) I used to run the 1600m(mile) in 5:30. I dont know what happened now.

          All times are dependent on the situation. The best thing to do is keep track of your times and try to improve by a few seconds every week. It won't take long before you are the fastest boxer in Texas!

            I was best in Scotland btw and top 3 in the UK. I continued until I was 13 then became disinterested. I could do a mile in just over 5 minutes
