  • stopped going to the gym for two weeks.

i guess i just had enough. i started thinking boxing wasn't for me, or at least not that gym. i knew i had weight to lose, but i didn't see it coming off fast enough and thought my trainer would think i'm not trying hard enough. lol, i had only been going for 3 weeks and i lost 3 pounds. that is exactly how much i should have lost in that time, 6 at the most(you can only safely lose 1-2 pounds in a week). my stamina had improved dramatically. but for some reason, it just hit me the wrong way when he asked me how much weight i lost. i knew i only lost a few, so i just thought that maybe he thought i wasn't taking things seriously. i thought to myself that i will just quit the gym and lose weight on my own and then come back, which is just a mental thing i suppose. i remember seeing people on the internet losing ****loads of weight in short periods of time, so i thought that i needed to keep up with them. but i hear that if you lose it too fast, you will probably gain it back and then some. so, moral of the story is, don't think that if you are losing weight slowly, that you aren't trying hard enough. know your ****, and you will get ahead. i will go back to the gym next week now fortified with confidence.

        Don't give up my friend

I started going to loose, weight after a few weeks I thought I feel stronger and my stamina and cardio are much better. I was loosing weight but couldn't really see it. It's only been in the last week I went past a mirror and really stopped and looked and thought DAM boy you have lost weight. I wasn't sure if I was just imagining it so I got out a photo of me from last year and nearly died. Now I can see what I have lost and it’s made me hungry for more.
It hasn't happened quickly and I thought about giving up a month or two into it. I was doing pissy weights and watching others do big weights but my bro who did bodybuilding said your doing great stick to it. I did and now the results are starting to show.
So stick with it man, the hard times are there to test if we have the guts to go on. I like the pain and hard times it helps build character.
Keep fighting and let us know how you go. And if it gets hard spill your guts out on here most of the guys will have great advice and encouragement.
