It doesnt help you heal it does help you deal with pain though.

I would still stay away from it.

I remember reading a High Times about this boxer who smoked weed all the time and even during training. He had reasons for smoking and how it helped him out. I can't remember who it was, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't boxing anymore.

yeah bottom line is when your actually fighting and trying to perfect your craft in the sport, you shouldnt do it AT ALL, but i guess if your just training and use boxing as a workout, then its ok. it might make the workouts more effective for them, they dont spar and dont wanna become fighters so its nto really an issue, but at one time 1 of em did wanna fight amatuer and said weed would make him unbeatable so i just thought id mention it lolol, personally id **** him if we ever sparred. hes a lil soft in the belly

that's a decent philosophy. marijuana is not nearly as harmfull as some people think. however, it is best used in moderation or if taken medicinally for minor pains(read that it's as effective as aspirin in a medical journal), stress relief, etc.

it's the uneducated people that are afraid of it and think it makes your athletic performance worse. fact is, many athletes have, and do, smoke MJ.

recent study from britain has shown that MJ is safer than both alcohol and tobacco. and i heard this on the news a couple of weeks ago.

hmm, never heard of that. i, personally, wouldn't recommend toking just before sparring. after would be best.

bottom line - there is nothing wrong with smoking a little. it's more healthy than cigs, liquor, and coffee. the high quality MJ is best as it actually helps open up your lungs as opposed to tobacco which supresses your ability to cough.

it's the idiots who smoke blunt after blunt for no real reason that **** it up for everyone else. that helped carry on the typical pot head stereotype.

I've been puffin herbs almost every night last 3 months.
First weeks it was like "this is all good! i can focus and think deeper while I'm training" And especially it was good for stretching my muscles.

But after month or two it slowed my reactions and of my lungs suffered a little.

As an amateur boxer and a weed lover i would recommend to use cannabis only for medical use max 3 times per week (For stretching and relaxation) And if you really want to smoke and be an athlete at the same time u must buy vaporizer.
And DO NOT touch those heavy hitting indica strains that put your lights down.
Find the right strains for your mind and body and respect the herb while smoking.

Theres always a positive and a negative side about everything.
